Jiangsu getting off to flying start in New Year
Industrial production in east China’s Jiangsu province got off to a flying start on the first working day in 2024. Let’s take a close look.
On the first working day of the new year, technicians from State Grid NARI Group Company were busy with the research and development of power grid safety and stability control technology in a bid to achieve international leadership in core technology and equipment through their efforts.
“In 2024, as power technicians, we will make continuous efforts by focusing on the "bottleneck" technology of energy and power security, accelerating the core technology research and development to ensure the safe and stable operation of the new power system, creating more original achievements from scratch, adhering to the principle of technology-oriented and industry-oriented so as to promote the coordinated development of scientific research and industry, and support Nanjing in its efforts to build a world-class smart grid industry cluster,” said Xue Feng, Chief Expert of State Grid Corporation of China and Chief Expert of NARI Group.
On the first working day of the New Year, the Nanjing Municipal Government Service Center provided a clearer workflow with higher efficiency in handling procedures.
Ms. Meng, a staff member of a chain catering enterprise in Nanjing, submitted an application for a food business license for her company’s five chain stores. In less than half a day, she was granted the license.
“In the past, when we applied for a food business license, we had to go to the local bureau. Now, submitting the materials all at once to the Municipal Government Service Bureau will quickly be certified, which is very convenient and fast,” said Ms. Meng, a staff member of a chain catering enterprise in Nanjing.
“In 2024, we will further increase our services to help the people get things done quickly,” said Zhai Yulin, Nanjing Municipal Government Service Management Office.
Enterprises in various regions are making every effort to stabilize production and ensure supply. Relying on the improved upstream and downstream industrial chain system of new energy in Changzhou, Changzhou Siyuan Toshiba Transformer Co., Ltd. has ushered in the peak production season, with transformers rolling off the production line one after another. At the end of last year, the company received an order of 180 million yuan. On the first working day of the new year, the company worked overtime to rush to fulfill the orders.
