Suzhou, Wuxi poised to fuel industrial momentum in New Year
The cities of Suzhou and Wuxi in East China’s Jiangsu province are poised to fuel industrial momentum in the New Year so as to step up high-quality development. Let’s take a close look.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Suzhou has recorded an annual industrial added value of over one trillion yuan. In the new year, Suzhou will fully implement the "Suzhou Intelligent Manufacturing" strong foundation and quality improvement action, strengthen the construction of industrial systems, and accelerate the construction of the "1030" industrial system consisting of 10 key industrial clusters and 30 key industrial chains.
“In the new year, Suzhou will closely focus on the main line of new industrialization, accelerate the revitalization of traditional industries and the growth of emerging industries. Improving land use efficiency is imperative for Suzhou,” said Wan Li, Director of Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.
Suzhou strives to form four trillion-yuan leading industries, including electronic information, high-end equipment, advanced materials, and new energy, within three years. Suzhou recorded a total industrial output value of 5 trillion yuan above designated size, driving its GDP to the level of 3 trillion yuan.
By 2035, Suzhou will basically form a modern industrial system with world-class competitiveness and strive to build a globally leading "smart manufacturing city".
Wuxi held a meeting to release the "Full Life Cycle Service Management System for Specialized, Refined, and Novel Enterprises" by covering five aspects that include industrial development, technological innovation, talent cultivation, financial empowerment, and factor guarantee.
Wuxi will provide up to 10 million yuan and 5 million yuan in financial support to the entrepreneurial and innovative leading talents in specialized, refined, special, and novel enterprises. At the same time, it has launched 39 characteristic financial products to support specialized, refined, special, and novel enterprises.
“Focusing on the development of this specialized, refined, and innovative industry, the cultivation of this drip irrigation style throughout its entire lifecycle, from the perspectives of enterprise innovation to the introduction of talent through innovation platforms and the acquisition of cultivation funds, will indeed be beneficial to the development of our industry,” said Yang Lei, Chairman of Jiangsu Tian’an Zhilian Technology Co., Ltd.
In 2024, Wuxi will regard major projects as an important lever for cultivating specialized, refined, and innovative enterprises, as well as future industries such as humanoid robots, to unleash greater energy and promote high-quality development.
