Major airlines issue new regulations for ticket refund, rebooking
China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines have recently adjusted their regulations on ticket refunds and rebooking. Under certain conditions, passengers can receive free refunds if they encounter situations such as expensive ticket purchases, changes in aircraft models, or incorrect booking.
The new regulations will take effect at midnight on January 10th. The ticket refund and rebooking fees for China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines have been reduced to a maximum of 75% and 60% of the original ticket.
The biggest change in the adjustment of the two airlines is the inclusion of factors such as changes in aircraft types, delays at flight stops, and airport transfers.
China Eastern Airlines has included factors such as changes in aircraft types that prevent passengers from traveling, changes in flight schedules that result in changes in flight schedules, and delays at flight stops in the scope of free ticket refunds and rebooking.
China Southern Airlines has included factors such as changes in aircraft types that prevent passengers from traveling, flight delays at stops, airport transfers, and force majeure in the scope of free ticket refunds and rebooking.
With the implementation of the new regulations, passengers can purchase a new ticket within 24 hours after purchase and refund the original ticket for free if they find that the ticket price has decreased.
The two airlines have offered free refunds for ticket refund or bookings that meet certain criteria. At the same time, both airlines have relaxed the rules for ticket refunds and rebooking due to passenger’s illness. Passengers who are unable to travel due to illness can apply for rebooking or refund by presenting relevant proof materials.
