Jiangsu accelerates independent innovation capabilities in industrial software
East China’s Jiangsu province has made every effort to accelerated the enhancement of independent innovation capabilities in industrial software, according to a document released recently by the provincial government.
Implementing industrial automation control and helping enterprises improve production efficiency and quality cannot be achieved without industrial software.
Faced with the current situation that nearly 90% of China’s software are transformed and developed by foreign open-source software, Jiangsu has introduced 19 specific measures in six aspects in a bid to enhance industrial software innovation capabilities, strengthen application driven development efficiency, and gradually cultivate software enterprise entities.
Jiangsu will develop an annual key core technology research and development catalog and a reserve database of key projects based on major industrial needs, establish a linkage mechanism between provinces and cities, and provide financial support.
Jiangsu will support innovative applications in key industries, verify and promote 100 solutions and demonstration cases of information technology application and innovation every year, establish 10 benchmark projects for information technology application and innovation, and cultivate no less than 300 leading software enterprises, key software enterprises within the provincial planning layout, and specialized, refined, and novel software enterprises in a classified and targeted manner every year.
In order to better motivate software companies to carry out independent innovation, Jiangsu will release and promote excellent industrial software products and application solutions every year to support key areas of research and development achievements, and prioritize the inclusion of first version software in the application promotion guidance directory in a bid to encourage the purchase and promotion of the applications for the first time.
