Jiangsu optimizes employment services to ensure people's livelihood
East China’s Jiangsu province has taken multiple measures to expand employment, organize job fairs, and carry out targeted employment assistance activities for those facing employment difficulties.
On Monday morning, Nanjing launched an employment assistance activity for people facing employment difficulties and urban families with zero employment. A job fair was held to offer over 100 job vacancies with social security but low entry barriers, attracting over a thousand job seekers.
“The community often shares job postings in WeChat groups, which I think is great and provides us with more job opportunities,” said a job seeker.
“In the next step, Jiangbei New Area will solidly promote the Employment Assistance Month, hold 14 job fairs, and help those facing employment difficulties to find jobs and start businesses as soon as possible,” said Zhu Shanshan, Deputy Director of the Education and Social Security Bureau of Jiangbei New Area.
Lianyungang recently held its first job fair of the New Year, with 130 companies offering over 4600 job vacancies in various industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and machinery.
The job fair has set up a special area for people with disabilities by providing more than 200 job vacancies such as finance and clerks, as well as providing employment guidance and career evaluation services for people with disabilities. More than 400 people reached initial employment intentions.
“We plan to continue conducting no less than 240 recruitment activities, while organizing employment services and entrepreneurship guidance in communities and townships, and arrange for job seekers to visit enterprises in industrial parks,” said Chen Xinquan, Director of Lianyungang Vocational Introduction Service Center.
Jinxi Town in Kunshan city provided one-stop services such as career guidance, entrepreneurship guidance, and skill training for local villagers and businesspersons.
Xuzhou carried out 10 New Year job promotion livestreaming by inviting 240 companies to participate in recruitment, attracting more than 700 resumes from 30000 people.
