Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo has officially started recruiting volunteers from March 1st.
The candidates being selected will volunteer at seven houses, including the Panda House, Mongoose House, Giraffe House, Koala Bear House and Elephant House. They are also expected to participate in activities for Mid-Autumn Day and other occasions.
Two koala bears from Australia settled in Nanjing on February 10th. The isolation period will be ended this March and they will be ready for their debut by then. Staff from the Hongshan Zoo in Nanjing said that the koala has already adapted to the new environment by climbing, jumping and interacting with the zoo keepers actively.
