East China’s Jiangsu province announced the list of the winners for the 3rd Jiangsu Patent Inventor Award.
The Jiangsu Patent Inventor Award is the province’s top award in intellectual property.
Of the 10 winners this year, 5 are from universities and 5 from enterprises.
The 10 winners have a total of 812 major patents, of which 698 are invention patents, accounting for 86%. The patents cover many fields such as advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental protection, biomedicine, materials chemical engineering, electronic information and modern agriculture.
In the past five years, Jiangsu reported patent sales of 127.3 billion, an increase of 52% over the previous session, and exports of US$5.2 billion, a four-fold increase over the previous session.
The biennial Patent Inventor Award has played a significant leading role in promoting the spirit of innovation, promoting the output of high-value patents, and accelerating the construction of an intellectual property protection powerhouse.
