The delegation of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province reached intended deals worth $1.28 billion at the fifth China International Import Expo, which concluded on Nov 10 in Shanghai.
The figure puts Wuxi in first place in Jiangsu in terms of procurement amount at CIIE, said a staff member of the Wuxi municipal bureau of commerce.
He said that this year, the Wuxi delegation increased its procurement of advanced technical equipment and services and high-quality consumer goods.

Wuxi-based Jiangsu Communication Clean Energy Technology Co Ltd, which is engaged in gas and fuel oil generator set manufacturing and power station investment, inked a a purchase order worth $3 million with Caterpillar Inc.
"We participated in the expo as a visitor in the past and this year we placed our first order," said Mo Zhigang, general manager of Wuxi VGAGE Measuring Equipment Co Ltd.
Wuxi VGAGE purchased a measuring machine worth more than $2 million from ZEISS, the world's leading enterprise of optical and optoelectronics technology.
Mo noted that he also visited the booths of many leading technical equipment manufacturers at the expo and learned about the industry's global landscape.
In addition, districts in Wuxi sought cooperation at the expo. For example, Xishan visited the booths of hydrogen energy resource-related enterprises, Huishan held a talk with the director of the liaison office of Hamburg, Germany in China, and Liangxi invited renowned hotel brands to operate in the district.
