The 2022 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference opened in Nanjing under the sponsorship of by the Jiangsu Provincial Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the China Association for Science and Technology.
Xu Kunlin, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor of the province, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Among the leaders speaking at the opening ceremony were Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhong Zhihua, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Guihua, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, Han Liming, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, and Shu Yinbiao, Chairman of the International Electrotechnical Commission and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Zhou Ji, director of the National Advisory Committee on the Strategy of Building a Strong Manufacturing Country and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered the keynote speech.
Xu Kunlin extended his warm welcome to the leaders and guests, and thanked the ministries and commissions under the State Council, entrepreneurs at home and abroad, and friends from all walks of life for their long-term concern and support for Jiangsu's development.
He said that Jiangsu, as a major manufacturing province, has implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, completely, accurately and comprehensively implemented the new development concept, took intelligent manufacturing as the main direction, and advanced manufacturing cluster cultivation as an important starting point, deeply promoted the intelligent transformation and digital transformation, focused on building an autonomous and controllable modern industrial system, and made solid progress in building a strong manufacturing province.
The governor said Jiangsu will resolutely implement the major strategic deployment made at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, take the real economy as the cornerstone of economic development, take the digital economy as the key increment, promote the digital, networked and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry, focus on strengthening the innovation ability of intelligent manufacturing technology, build a solid foundation for the development of intelligent manufacturing industry, improve the promotion and application level of intelligent manufacturing, build an ecological service system for intelligent manufacturing, promote the industry to climb to the middle and high end of the global value chain, and inject strong momentum into the high-level display of Chinese path to modernization in Jiangsu.
Xu Kunlin remarked that Jiangsu will take the World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference as the platform and link, actively create a market-oriented, legalized and internationalized first-class business environment, invite global enterprises to invest and start businesses in Jiangsu, and domestic and foreign talents to innovate and start businesses in Jiangsu, and work together to create a "Jiangsu sample" of "China's intelligent manufacturing".
Xin Guobin said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will thoroughly implement the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, adhere to intelligent manufacturing as the main direction, consolidate the foundation, improve standards, cultivate ecology, and strengthen applications according to the actual situation of China's manufacturing industry, and strive to build an efficient innovation system, a high-level industrial system, a high-level application system, and a high-level security system, so as to accelerate the creation of an "upgraded version" of intelligent manufacturing.
Vice Minister Xin Guobin and Vice Governor Hu Guangjie presented awards to the winners of the Second Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Competition.
The public service platform for intelligent manufacturing data resources was launched.
The meeting witnessed the release of smart manufacturing benchmark enterprises, the Zijin Index 2022 for high-quality development of the software industry, the research report on the development of intelligent manufacturing in China, the development trend of global intelligent manufacturing, and the world's and China's top ten scientific and technological advances in intelligent manufacturing.
