East China’s Jiangsu province has reported sustained growth in the imports and exports since the beginning of this year, thanks to the province’s release of the 42 preferential policies to stabilize and boost the foreign trade sector.
Since the early spring, Qidong-based Jiangsu Flint Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. has been operating its production line in full gear to keep its assembly, commissioning and packaging in an orderly manner.
Qidong produces a wide range of electric tools with high cost performance, which are widely used in building decoration, stone processing and other fields, and are increasingly popular in developing countries and regions such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South America.
At present, the orders for complete machines and accessories have been scheduled for June. Therefore, the company is seizing the time to build new plants and expand production capacity.
"Our original plant can no longer meet the production and development needs. After the completion of the new plant, our motor production lines will increase to a total of 20 and our production capacity will increase by 30% to 40% in the same working time. In the long run we are very confident in development," said Yin Yajun, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Flint Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd..
Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has continued to introduce preferential policies and optimize services in order to reduce taxes and fees, export credit, and credit insurance to help enterprises stabilize operations.
"We need to make timely adjustments according to the market changes in Europe and the United States. If it is a product that is needed in the market, we must develop it as soon as possible so as to sell it at a high price. So we have been constantly adjusting research and development," said Han Lifang, Head of Overseas Sales Department of Suzhou Lake Electric Co., Ltd..
For foreign trade enterprises, opening up the international market is the key. Jiangsu is keen to seize the opportunity of offline exhibitions, support enterprises to participate in more than 100 overseas offline key exhibitions, and coordinate the central and provincial funds to grant up to 80% of the booth fees for outbound exhibitors. Many regions have also increased their support to enterprises for exhibition transportation, business travel and other expenses.
The investment of policies and funds has continuously strengthened the confidence of foreign trade enterprises. Enterprises in Jiangsu have recently participated in major foreign exhibitions, including the Las Vegas International Clothing Exhibition, the Arab International Medical Laboratory Instrument and Equipment Exhibition, and the Madrid International Energy Exhibition in Spain.
"We implemented the requirements of the Trade Promotion Plan of the Department of Commerce and gave enterprises booth subsidies ranging from 30000 to 80000 yuan. From January to February, we organized 143 enterprises to participate in 16 overseas exhibitions. For Jiangsu's advantageous industries such as new energy, new materials and medical treatment, we organized enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions to obtain more orders," said Wei Xiujun, Chairman of Jiangsu International Conference and Exhibition Co., Ltd..
Jiangsu has also made every effort to stabilize and improve its foreign trade with a broader vision so as to help enterprises explore emerging markets such as ASEAN and countries along the "the Belt and Road", and support enterprises to make full use of RCEP policies to sharpen up their competitiveness.
