D and master’s degree candidates totaling 161000, according to a report on postgraduate education quality released Thursday by the provincial department of education. Both figures rank third and second in the country, according to the report. 90.69% and 68.92% of the doctoral and master’s supervisors hold doctoral degrees, the report shows. 105 academic disciplines of 23 universities in Jiangsu are ranked among the top 1% of the worldwide ratings, according to the report.
