The CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee convened a meeting Monday afternoon to study the important instructions given by General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening and improving the party's style of work by redressing formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance. The meeting was presided over by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.
Xi Jinping gave important instructions on an article carried by Xinhua News Agency on the new manifestations of formalism and bureaucracy, according to a statement released after the meeting.
We must resolutely reject formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance, and resolutely fight against corruption and other misconduct in all manifestations, Xi said in the instructions, according to the statement.
The instructions given by General Secretary Xi show the clear-cut attitude and steadfast determination that the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core will firmly and strictly make steadfast efforts on strict governance of the Party, which will be of significance in the guidance for the whole party to study and carry out the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress and strengthen and improve the party's style of work, the statement said.
It is urged that CPC organizations at various levels in the province should study and implement the important instructions given by General Secretary Xi Jinping in accordance with the spirit on the strict governance of the party put forth at the 19th CPC National Congress and the important speeches made by Xi Jinping on the overall development of Jiangsu, the statement said.
Greater efforts should be made to promote the understanding of the Four Consciousnesses, improve the political stance, and understand the stubbornness and repetition tendency of formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance so as to enhance the tenacity of the construction of the strengthening and improving of the party's style of work, according to the statement.
It is also demanded that party and government organizations at all levels in the province should make sure that their work style measure up to the requirements set forth by the CPC central committee and rectify the existing problems with resolute determination and forcefulness, the statement said.
Measures should be taken to redress the manifestations of formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance in accordance with the important instructions given by General Secretary Xi Jinping and make rectifications with strict governance and effective approaches, according to the statement.
