Wuxi Metro Line 2 has been opened for three years, since 2015. Wuxi Metro Group ensures that it, and line 1, remain efficient and punctual and also implements technological innovation.
As of Dec 26, 2017, the total passenger volume of Wuxi Metro line 1 and 2 had reached 261 million, a year-on-year growth of 11.5 percent. Daily passenger volume in 2017 reached 252,200, breaking last year's record.
To further improve safety, conserve energy and reduce consumption, Wuxi Metro has carried out over 20 reconstruction projects, including improvements to the stairs in Sanyang Plaza Station and application of IoT technology to automatic fare collection systems.

Wuxi Metro has built eight unique stations to provide various public or commercial services for passengers. For example, the busiest station in Wuxi's downtown, Sanyang Plaza Station, provides hand-drawn maps showing tourist attractions around the Chong'an Temple scenic area.
Wuxi Metro is holding open-day events to invite residents to learn about the metro staff's daily work and understand more about the metro in 2018.
