An exhibition featuring artwork by the Jiangsu Youth Artists Association was held at the Zhangjiagang Institute of Calligraphy and Painting on Jan 18.
Sponsored by the Jiangsu Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the exhibition presents over 70 artworks created on Tiahang Mountain, Shanxi province during a nine-day tour.
The works include Chinese paintings, oil paintings and photography and are rich in content and variety of style. Their assorted techniques and themes show the different values of the artists.
Yangfang, director of the Zhangjiagang Publicity Department said at the opening ceremony that Zhangjiagang city hoped the local artists would capture different regional characteristics, cultural and folk customs and create works reflecting daily life and spiritual pursuits.
The exhibition is free to the public and will run to Jan 25.
