The 1st session of the 13th Provincial People's Congress held its third plenary meeting Tuesday afternoon and elected 150 delegates who will represent Jiangsu to attend the 13th National People's Congress that is scheduled to take place in early March.
The plenary meeting was presided over by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.
The plenary meeting approved a list of 14 scrutineers before reading out the list of candidates nominated to the 13th National People's Congress.
150 delegates were to be elected to attend the 13th National People's Congress on behalf of Jiangsu.
793 ballots were issued for this election with 791 valid votes cast based on the election results.
