Jiangsu will publish and implement its 1st expressway service standards this year.
The standards will cover five categories that related to expressway service including public information service, service area guide, toll station guide, maintenance service, and rescue service.
With the advent of the automobile age, the demand for expressway travel has increased explosively. And the public's expectation and demand for the public service of the expressway are rising continuously.
Transportation experts believe that compared with Jiangsu's developed economy and high level of highway construction, the province's expressway should speed up its operational services. Drivers expect to get traffic information in time during holidays or when suffering from a bad weather. Travelers with babies may want to use the infant rooms in the service areas. The clearing and rescue work need to be done in time once traffic accidents occur. That’s why a set of service standards is quite necessary for expressway travel nowadays.
The standards are the first for Jiangsu Expressway, and they will put forward very detailed requirements, offering all sorts of guides and information to expressway travelers.
