Dongfeng Yueda KIA Motors Co., Ltd. rolled out its 5 millionth car on April 9 as a white K5 type left the production line, enabling it to become the 9th car manufacturer among Sino-foreign passenger car ventures to reach the milestone.
Since February 2016, the car manufacturer has responded actively to deep restructuring in the auto industry and took only 26 months to rise from producing four million to five million cars despite the complicated market situation.
Dongfeng Yueda Kia has now established three modern production facilities and developed a complete production system with an annual capacity of 900,000 cars. The brand has scores of car models that are well-received in the market including the Kia K4 sedan, KX Cross and seven-seat SUV KX7.
