Governor Wu Zhenglong met on Wednesday in Nanjing with Slovenian Minister of Infrastructure Peter Gašperšič.
Wu Zhenglong said that Jiangsu is located on the east coast of China and the intersection of the Belt and Road campaign, featured with its advantageous geographical location, excellent infrastructure, strong science and education, solid industrial foundation, and high degree of openness to the outside world.
Slovenia is an important partner in the construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative," and is also an active participant in the 16+1 cooperation model, the governor said.
The governor pledged to give full support to the Slovenian project in Jurong County by implementing the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia, promoting further opening-up, strengthening cooperation and replying on the Jurong project as a new starting point and the foundation for the promotion of the aviation industry, economy, trade, humanities and tourism so as to benefit the people of the two countries.
Mr.Gašperšič said Slovenia will deepen close cooperation in advanced manufacturing, air transport, modern logistics, and create a model of cooperation and win-win between China and Slovenia.
