As the regular event of Shared Joy of Jiangsu, the first edition of “Foreigners’ View of Jiangsu” in 2018 goes to the home to milu deer – Dafeng district of Yancheng city. A total of 25 foreigners from 18 countries across the world were invited last weekend to experience the unique culture of Yancheng city. Take a look!

The launch ceremony was chosen to be held Saturday in the Milu Deer Nature Reserve, a name card of Dafeng district. Leaders from local and provincial government and foreign representatives have delivered keynote speeches to share their expectations of this trip.

Since the event was launched inside the Milu Deer Nature Reserve, the first activity was to go inside and had some closer connection with the milu deer. Though it was raining, the enthusiasm of the foreigners had been instantly aroused once they saw the real milu deer.

The second stop was the Holland Flower Park, which covers an area of over 20 hectares with more than 30 million tulips of over 300 varieties. Although the season of tulips has passed, they still had their fun by learning how to arrange flowers.

After that, they went to the Plum Bay, where they experienced traditional Chinese cultures and craftsmanship, including tea ceremony, Tai Chi, sugar figures and clay figurines.

Dafeng, located in central Jiangsu, is a new coastal district of Yancheng city. It is the largest district in Jiangsu Province with the total population of 720, 000. It is known as the home to milu deer, the enclave of Shanghai, the old revolutionary area and the place of longevity.
