A Chinese documentary exhibition dedicated to the tragic events of the Nanjing Massacre in 1937 opened in Prague, Czech Republic on June 7. This exhibition is sponsored by the China Intercontinental Communication Center and the Jiangsu Foreign Cultural Exchange Association of Jiangsu Province; while organized by Nanjing Foreign Cultural Exchange Association and the Memorial Hall for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre.
The tragic events began to unfold on December 13 1937 with Japan's invasion and occupation of Nanjing, then capital of China. Featuring more than 130 photos, 13 material evidence and two-story footages, this exhibition documents the history of the massacre when more than 300,000 Chinese civilians and unarmed soldiers were killed by Japanese invaders after the city fell into the hands of the Japanese army.
