The Provincial Economic and Information Commission and the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce have released the list of the top 100 private enterprises in the province in 2017 on the basis of the revenue indicators.
The total economic output of the 100 private enterprises has been steadily increasing, and the scale of individual units has further grown. In 2017, the top 100 private enterprises reported an operating income of 4194.5 billion yuan, an increase of 18.1% over the same period of the previous year. The average operating income was 41.9 billion yuan, an increase of 6.4 billion yuan over the previous year.
The annual operating income of short-listed companies exceeds 10 billion yuan. Among them, Suning Holding Group, Hengli Group and Jiangsu Shagang Group ranked top three for three consecutive years with individual operating revenue of 500 billion, 300 billion, and 200 billion yuan respectively. Zhongnan Holdings, Sanpower Group and Suning Global Group ranked among the top nine of enterprises on the list reported operating revenue of more than 100 billion.
In 2017, 100 private enterprises realized an operating income of 4194.5 billion yuan, an increase of 18.1% over the same period of the previous year. The average operating income per household was 41.9 billion yuan, an increase of 6.4 billion yuan over the previous year.
Fifteen eye-catching new faces appeared in the new list of the top 100 private enterprises this year. Among them, Nanjing Xinhuahai Technology Industrial Group Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the wholesale industry, climbed to the 47th place to become the champion of revenue of the top 100 companies.
The southern areas of the province continued to dominate the ranking while two more companies from north Jiangsu made the list to add to a total of ten on the annual ranking. The top 100 private enterprises posted a total profit of 170 billion yuan in the year, a year-on-year increase of 27.7%.
Compared with the list of the previous year, the private sector in Jiangsu is gradually presenting a new image. 57 private enterprises are engaged in manufacturing, reflecting the power of Jiangsu's manufacturing sector.
Strong performances were reported in emerging industries such as electronics while the number of service companies totaled 26 from 4 on the last ranking.
The Internet + Travel initiative has given a strong boost to tourism, as is evidenced by the ranking of Tongcheng Network Technology Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Tuoniu Technology Co., Ltd.
The reduced number of construction enterprises on the list reflects the efficiency of the adjustment of the industrial structure and the direction of economic development, which has met the general trend of structural reforms on the supply side.
