China is accelerating the construction of health promotion hospitals. As of 2017, a total of 3,014 hospitals nationwide have launched pilot projects for health promotion hospitals with 150 provincial health promotion hospitals launched in Jiangsu so far. Health promotion hospital construction refers to encouraging medical institutions and medical personnel to shift from treatment-centered to health-oriented, providing more humane and comprehensive health services, and improving patient compliance and satisfaction.
