Covering an area of 4,000 square meters, the Little Animal Paradise of the Wuxi Zoo has opened to the public after two years’ planning and one year’s construction.
The zone mainly follows the architecture style of a theme park and offers interactive exhibits of popular science on animals and amusement facilities as well as a themed restaurant, serving as a large-scale comprehensive tourist site combining education with entertainment.
The newly built venues take full consideration of animals’ habits and their need for living in the wild. The venues have unique shapes, enlarged activity areas and comfortable temperatures in winter and summer. They are also equipped with panoramic skylights, air conditioners and perches.
Dozens of animals from home and abroad, including giant anteaters from South America, red pandas, raccoons, scorpions and sloths, are now housed in brand-new homes and have won the heart of tourists.
The interactive areas enable children to walk inside and get aclose touch with animals.
