The Publicity Department of the Provincial Party Committee and other provincial departments jointly sponsored a photo exhibition themed "Building a Great Era, Creating a Better Life" in a bid to fully demonstrate the vivid practice and great achievements of Jiangsu's reform and opening up in the past four decades.
As one of the earliest provinces that have launched opening up and boosted rapid economic development in China in the past 4 decades, Jiangsu has seen its GDP increase by 344.9 times, the urbanization rate increase by 55.1 percentage points, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods increase by 347.4 times.
The photo exhibition witnessed the continuous improvement of the quality of life of the people of Jiangsu. The township and village enterprises have sprung up everywhere and the cultural life is colorful, reflecting the changes of the times. Thousands of old objects reminded the visitors of the old days.
The rapid development of 40 years has not only brought fat wallets to the people of Jiangsu but also comprehensive improvement in the fields of education, medical care, ecological environment and entrepreneurial innovation. In the "Good Life" exhibition area, urban study, distance education, smart policing, electronic medical examinations... A series of new technology and new experiences make people really feel that the reform and opening up is being accelerated.
Promotional films were screened and VR experiences were introduced to let visitors fully experience the historical changes in the 4 decades of reform and opening up.
