A press conference for the 2018 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference was held in Nanjing Thursday. The latest research results and scientific and technological progress in the field of intelligent manufacturing were released.
China is building more and more industrial robots at home, according to the 2016-2018 China Robot Industry Development Annual Report released by the China Economic Information Agency Jiangsu Center. In 2017, China is expected to register 130,000 industrial robots, accounting for about one third of the global production.
In recent years, Jiangsu has focused on the development of the robot industry. As of the first half of 2018, the province had registered more than 2,200 robot-related enterprises.
According to the Smart Manufacturing Industry Map released at the World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference, China has initially established 222 digital workshops and smart factories located mainly in the central and coastal areas such as Jiangsu, Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Hunan.
