The 2018 Belt and Road International Rock Climbing Competition closed in Huai’an city, Jiangsu Province on Wednesday. Chinese rock climber Qu Haibin rivaled his opponents in the preliminaries and semi-finals all the way through and was crowned the runner-up. He was the only player to reach the summit in the men's final. More than 80 rock climbers from 16 countries and regions including Russia, South Korea, Japan and Indonesia attended the International Rock Climbing Competition. The event is meant to build an international exchange platform for rock climbing. Most of the players come from the countries along the "Belt and Road".
