East China’s Jiangsu Province and Tashkent Oblast of Uzbekistan signed Thursday in Nanjing a memorandum on the establishment of friendly relations.
The two sides agreed to carry out friendly exchanges and cooperation in tourism, culture, education, and sports, support the people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between enterprises and institutions in the trade and investment fields, and hold economic and trade forums, promotional conferences, and seminars to encourage both companies to carry out pragmatic cooperation.
The memorandum came into effect on Thursday and is valid for three years.
Tashkent Oblast, located in the eastern part of Uzbekistan, is one of the 12 blasts of Uzbekistan with an area of 15,300 square kilometers. It is also one of the most economically developed states and the most developed industrial area and important agricultural area in the country.
