The CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee held a symposium Monday afternoon in Nanjing to look into the issues of the province’s paired assistance to Tibet. Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, paid a visit to the Tibetan delegation.
Governor Wu Zhenglong, also Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Che Dalha, Deputy Secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee and Chairman of the government, addressed the symposium.
Lou Qinjian said that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has thoroughly studied Tibet's long-term development and long-term stability, come up with a series of new ideas and strategies to stabilize the border areas and Tibet, and painted a grand blueprint for Tibet's development.
The paired assistance for Lhasa is a major political task entrusted to Jiangsu by the central government, and also an obligatory political responsibility, he said.

CheDalha extended his sincere gratitude to Jiangsu for its long-term support for the work in Tibet.
He said the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have consistently implemented the central government's decision-making arrangements, attached great importance to and fully supported the work of paired assistance for Tibet, injected a strong impetus into Tibet's economic and social development and made outstanding contributions.
The chairman of the Tibetan government spoke highly of the contribution made by the Jiangsu officials sent to Tibet for the implementation of the paired assistance program by shouldering responsibility and take the initiative to do a good job in their work with great dedication, thereby wining the accolade from the people in Tibet.
Wu Zhenglong said that in recent years, Tibet has implemented the important strategic thinking of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee, made great efforts to promote Tibet's high-quality development and long-term stability, and achieved great achievements in economic and social development.
He said Jiangsu will further enhance the sense of responsibility, step up the efforts for targeted poverty alleviation to ensure that the task of poverty alleviation is completed as scheduled, strengthen the paired program through industrial projects, deepen cooperation and exchanges in all directions, promote shared development so as to ensure that the province’s paired assistance for Tibet will rank foremost in the country.
The Tibetan party and government delegation visited Nantong, Lianyungang and Nanjing where they greeted the families of the Jiangsu officials for the paired assistance program in Tibet.
