East China’s Jiangsu province launched a promotion meeting Tuesday afternoon in Nanjing to publicize the progress of the industrial parks the province has launched in Belarus, UAE and Kazakhstan.
The overseas industrial parks have turned out to be important platforms for the province’s enterprises to make inroads into the oversea market.
Among the highlights were the China-Belarus Industrial Park, which was signed by the governments of China and Belarus, and the China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park, which is the first Belt and Road industrial capacity cooperation park in UAE, and the Dongmen Special Zone jointly developed by the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the Kazakhstan State-owned Railway Company.
Jiangsu has so far launched two national level economic and trade cooperative zones and 3 provincial level industrial clusters in foreign countries.
From January to October, Jiangsu registered 665 new foreign investment projects, an increase of 30.6% year-on-year. The amount of contracted capital of overseas investment reached 8.02 billion US dollars with the actual foreign investment hitting 3.8 billion US dollars.
