At 11:00 p.m. on January 6, the construction site of the HuaiyangConnecting Lineof the Lian-Huai-Yang-Zhen railway was brightly lit. The left line of the HuaiyangRailway leading to Yangzhou direction was under construction of the last box girder. With the successful erection of the box girder,all four lines of the Lian-Huai-Yang-Zhen railway were completedtill 1:35 am on 7 January.
The Lian-Huai-Yang-Zhen Railway has two connecting lines in the direction of Yangzhou, including the one just completed running in the direction of Yangzhou. In the future, the Lian-Huai-Yang-Zhen Railway and the Ningqi Railway in Yangzhou direction will enable passengers to transfer through this connecting line.
It is understood that the Lian-Huai-Yang-Zhen Railway and the Ningqi Railway have four connecting lines. In addition to the successful closure of the left HuaiyangConnecting Line, the other three Huaiyang Connecting Lines have also completed the construction of box girders and been open to traffic.
