The Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee held its fifth session Tuesday in Nanjing. Huang Lixin, Chairwoman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a speech at the end of the meeting.
The meeting discussed the provincial government work report (draft for comments). The committee members endorsed the basic framework and main contents of the report (draft for comment) and put forward positive opinions and suggestions.
Huang Lixin made an explicit request on the implementation of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.
She stressed that it is important to adhere to the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and further enhance the mission and responsibility of doing a good job in the work of the CPPCC in the new era.
The chairwoman demanded that more efforts should be made to implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial Party Committee by combining the actual work of the CPPCC and strengthening the organization and service guarantees for the success of the annual session of the Provincial CPPCC so as to gather strong positive energy for the construction of a strong and beautiful new Jiangsu.
