A longer fishing ban is to be imposed over the Taihu Lake waters from February 1 to August 31, the Taihu Lake Fisheries Management Committee said Wednesday. According to statistics, in 2018, the fishery output of Taihu Lake reached 69,600 tons, creating environmental benefits of 300 million yuan through fish fry release. In 2019, the province will further increase the conservation of resources and promote the ecological restoration of the East Taihu Lake.
