Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, extended his festive greetings to the servicemen and servicewomen, the reserve soldiers and officers, families of the martyrs, disabled and demobilized soldiers.

Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, said that in the past year, Jiangsu acted in accordance with Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, implemented the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the work of Jiangsu, adhered to the new development concept for high-quality development by making progress while maintaining stability, achieved remarkable results in the three tough battles of forestalling and defusing financial risks, targeted poverty alleviation and pollution prevention and control, promoted the coordination of regional development and in-depth development of the reform and opening up, improved the people’s sense of gain, happiness and security and made solid strides in the new Jiangsu construction.
The governor attributed these achievements to the strong support from the Eastern Theater and the troops in Jiangsu, adding that the province will bear in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s call for the building of a strong military force, uphold the four consciousnesses and four confidences, safeguard the authority of the CPC Central Committee and the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, make solid efforts for the promotion of military-civilian integration, boost the development of national defense to ensure that the military and the people will join hands for the realization of the Chinese dream and a strong military force.
Liu Yuejun, commander-in-chief of the Eastern Theater and He Ping, Political Commissar of the Eastern Theater, expressed their sincere gratitude to the Party and government leaders as well as the people of Jiangsu and wished them a happy Chinese new year.
