Nantong Center for Disease Control and Prevention recently reported that the first batch of a vaccine against human papilloma virus (HPV) has recently arrived in the coastal city of Jiangsu province.
The latest HPV vaccine, which works against nine types of HPV, is specifically designed for women between the ages of 16 and 26.
Supplies of the vaccine are only expected to last until the end of February, as the supply is still limited in Nantong. But the stocks will get replenished in middle July.
The disease control and prevention center said that people could still make an appointment by telephone from March to July, receiving the vaccine at a later date.
Work to register patients for the vaccine has already begun in Chongchuan district and Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone.
