A lecture was held Thursday in Shanghai on the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, signaling the acceleration of the high quality development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
Ruan Qing, who is from the Regional Cooperation Office of the Yangtze River Delta, said in the lecture that the "Three-Year Action Plan for the Development of the Yangtze River Delta between 2018 and 2020", which was adopted in June last year, act as a task book, road map and timetable for promoting the integration of the Yangtze River Delta.
The Action Plan has planned 32 key issues involving transportation, credit loan, information, and science and technology. At present, the road connecting Jiangsu Kunshan and Shanghai Qingpu has been opened to traffic, construction on 15 roads have been started, and various tasks have been promoted in an orderly manner to comprehensively enhance the core competitiveness of the Yangtze River Delta region.

A number of special plans will be implemented. At the same time, more major reform pilots such as a sound cost sharing mechanism, and the establishment of an innovation policy such as the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Development Investment Fund will also be expected to be implemented. These will help the Yangtze River Delta to become a leading demonstration area for implementing the new development concept throughout the country, the Asia-Pacific portal for global resource allocation and the world-class urban agglomeration with global competitiveness.
