Takeuchi Toshiaki, president of Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co, visited Suzhou New District in Jiangsu province on March 11 to explore the further development of its branch in Suzhou.

Takeuchi Toshiaki detailed his company's latest development and future plans during a meeting with Wu Xinming, head of Suzhou New District.

Toshiaki stated that NDK is considering building a comprehensive headquarters in SND by relocating its sales center, invoicing center and other functional departments in China to the district.

The Japanese guest expects more support from local government.

Wu Xinming promised to spare no efforts in supporting NDK's expansion in the district and construction of a comprehensive headquarters.

Wu thanked NDK's contributions to the district's economic and social development over the past years.

Located at the core area of developed Yangtze River Delta region, Suzhou boasts convenient access to Shanghai and favorable business climate, said Wu.

In 1994 Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co established its largest overseas factory in Suzhou New District, the Suzhou NDK Trading Co Ltd, the first wholly foreign-owned company in the district.

The Suzhou subsidiary is dedicated to manufacturing crystal oscillators which are widely used in mobile communication and take up 20 percent of global market. In 2018 the sales revenue of Suzhou NDK Trading Co Ltd amounted to 500 million yuan ($74.53 million).

With the most number of Japan-funded companies in the Yangtze River Delta region, SND houses over 540 Japanese companies with a total investment of $7 billion and total export-import volume of more than $10 billion.
