A free German language class is now available in Tianning District of Changzhou City, where the first group of 23 students started from learning German pronunciation.
Changzhou launched the public welfare project to train talents fluent with German as the city sees Germany as a role model in industrial development and tries to learn advanced industrial production technology from the European country.
Mainly targeting at students in middle and high schools, the course aims to pique their interest in the language, help them form right ways of language study, and also scout for promising students who may need more formal support later.
The free class stared from the end of the first quarter of 2019 and will continue for one and a half years. Members of the class will also have chances to participate exchanges between famous schools in Germany and Changzhou.
