Lou Qinjian, secretary of the provincial party committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, met with Xu Lejiang, deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Xu is also party secretary of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Lou Qinjian thanked the National Federation of Industry and Commerce for its long-term care and guidance for the development of private economy in Jiangsu before briefing the guests on the province’s efforts to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the forum with private entrepreneurs and the province’s development of the private sector.
He noted that the private economy has become the primary force behind economic growth in Jiangsu, the main driving force for technological innovation, and the main channel for employment and entrepreneurship, making the private sector increasingly important in the overall development of the province.
He remarked that Jiangsu will adhere to Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics as the guide, and take the spirit of Xi Jinping's important speech on the private economy as the fundamental follow-up, adhere to the problem orientation, strengthen the system thinking, strive to create a fair and equitable market competition environment, and vigorously promote the construction of a credit system so as to support the further development of the private economy.
He hoped that the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce will continue to support the development of the private economy of Jiangsu and help more enterprises to fulfill their main responsibilities such as safety and environmental protection while creating social wealth, and establish and maintain a good social image.
Xu Lejiang spoke highly of the importance attached to the development of private economy by authorities in Jiangsu and the strong support for the work of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
He believed that Jiangsu's private economic development and industrial and commercial association work has been at the forefront of the country with the emergence of a number of outstanding private enterprises with innovative development and core competitiveness and the creation of many experiences for the counterpart enterprises to follow.
The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce will give full play to its role of being the bridges and bonds for the private sector, support Jiangsu's private enterprises to play a greater role in solving the bottlenecks, and support the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce to continue the reform of the Chamber of Commerce and promote the high-quality development of the private economy in Jiangsu.
