He also asked local authorities to keep vigilant about production safety and troubleshoot hidden dangers so as to advocate new development concept and speed up industrial restructuring for the improvement of production safety.
The Governor later went to several other enterprises in Kunshan to make detailed understating of production safety, demanding that production safety matters a great deal to the safety of every employee and the happiness of each family so that it is necessary to strictly perform the main responsibility, strictly maintain production safety and troubleshoot potential safety hazard.
When visiting a forest farm in Jintan district of Changzhou, Wu Zhenglong greeted the forest fire fighters and learned about the readiness for fire prevention and control.
He asked local authorities to beef up preparedness to cope with the potential hazards resulting from the incoming flow of tomb sweepers during the Qingming Festival.
The Governor also inspected the readiness for fire prevention and control at the shopping complex of Xinjiekou in Nanjing.
It is necessary to strengthen the fire emergency drills under various adverse conditions, and focus on the worst and be fully prepared, he said.
An urgent notice issued last week by the Work Safety Committee of the State Council asked authorities related to safety production nationwide to strictly follow the instruction President Xi Jinping made after last Thursday’s blast in a chemical industry park in Xiangshui county of Jiangsu.
The notice from the State Council, released on Monday, deployed a thorough examination on potential hazards of dangerous chemicals across the country. All chemical industry parks should undergo safety risk assessments, it said.
