Xia Deren, chairman of the CPPCC Liaoning Provincial Committee, visited Jiangsu from Tuesday to Thursday. Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met with Xia and his party.
At a symposium held Tuesday afternoon, Huang Lixin noted that the promotion of the revitalization in northeast China and Jiangsu’s paired assistance partnership with Liaoning is an important task arranged by the CPC Central Committee.
The launch of the paired assistance mechanism has opened up new opportunities for both provinces to expand development space and new path to boost industrial transformation and upgrading, she said.
Huang noted that in recent years, Jiangsu has implemented an innovation-driven development strategy, focused on breaking through key core technologies, accelerating the transformation of new and old kinetic energy, vigorously developing intelligent manufacturing industries, continuously optimizing regional innovation layout, cultivating and expanding advanced manufacturing industry clusters, and actively creating innovative entrepreneurship to create a good ecology so as to enhance its efforts to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, and provide strong support for the construction of a "strong, rich, beautiful and high" new Jiangsu.
She hoped that the CPPCC provincial committees of the two provinces will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation and promote the joint development of a new situation of high quality development.
Xia Deren said that in the past two years, with the joint efforts of both sides, the targeted cooperation between the two provinces has achieved remarkable results. Starting from reality, Liaoning will learn from Jiangsu's in-depth implementation of innovation-driven development strategies, and promote beneficial practices and advanced experiences in the high-quality development of manufacturing industries, consolidate existing achievements, expand cooperation space, enhance cooperation, and achieve high-level and high-quality completion of the tasks assigned by the central government.
The Liaoning delegation visited Nanjing and Zhenjiang during its stay in Jiangsu.
