Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu province, demanded that loyalty to the Constitution of the Communist Party of China and the Party’s rules should be strengthened in the promotion of the theme education of staying true to the founding mission among all Party members. He made the remarks when presiding over a special meeting held Friday by the party leading group of the provincial government.
Wu Zhenglong, the governor and party secretary of the provincial government, stressed that more efforts should be made to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on "staying true to the Party’s founding mission", gain a deeper understanding on the use of the Party’s rules and regulations, rely on self-revolution, face up to the problem to find the gaps and solve problems, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, uphold the "four consciousness" and safeguard the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core.
The officials of the party leading group of the provincial government studied the Party’s constitution, the Explanation on the Code of Conduct for Intraparty Political Life under New Circumstances and the Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Internal Oversight and the Regulation of the Communist Party of China on Disciplinary Actions.
Wu Zhenglong made a personal contrastive examination on his adherence to the Party’s constitution and rules, followed by other officials of the party leading group of the provincial government.
They conducted in-depth analysis of the existing problems, and reminded each other on enhancing political stance, strictly observing political discipline and political rules, striving to combat formalist bureaucracy, and strengthening the implementation of the party’s rules so as to enhance the awareness of remaining loyal to the Party and exercising their political rights as party members, and increase the consciousness of discipline observation for the promotion of their political realm, ideological realm, and moral realm.
They unanimously agreed on adhering to the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, uphold the "four consciousness" and safeguard the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core, make it a conscious habit to observe the party’s rules and regulations and regard staying true to the Party’s founding mission a lifelong issue in strengthening the construction of party leading group of the provincial government so as to promote the theme education with higher standards and stricter requirements for tangible results.
The meeting stressed that it is necessary to further strengthen theoretical arms, strengthen ideals and convictions, and more consciously use Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics to arm the mind, guide practice, and promote work so as to further strengthen political discipline and political rules, and continue to strengthen the firmness and consciousness of upholding the "four consciousness" and safeguarding the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core.
Party members should follow the constitution and fine traditions of the Party. Political discipline and rules exist to enable CPC cadres to defend the authority of the CPC Central Committee and cadres must follow those rules, aligning themselves with the committee in deed and thought while party unity must be ensured at all times and in any situation.
The meeting called on party organizations to strengthen their responsibility awareness so as to promote high-quality development, accelerate the construction of a new Jiangsu provides a strong guarantee for a safe and stable social environment for the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China.
The measures of the party leading group of the provincial government for the improvement of the theme education was reviewed and passed at the meeting in a bid to get prepared for the democratic life meeting of the leading group.
