The small and medium-sized enterprises in Jiangsu have witnessed steady growth of the quality and efficiency since the start of this year so that they have continued to improve their combined proportion in the entire industrial sector.
At Jiangsu Tianyi Airport Special Equipment Co., Ltd., 33 airport-specific vehicles loaded with ASD automatic collision avoidance system ordered by Air China and China Eastern Airlines will be dispatched soon. This is the first time that China's civil aviation has adopted special equipment made in the country.

This latest technology product integrating Internet of Things, Internet, big data, software, remote monitoring, etc., has changed the manual operation to automatic driving, programming control, perfect docking of international mainstream models, and successfully obtained the national aviation safety certification this year, installing a "safety valve" for China's "safe and intelligent airport construction campaign.
According to Ma Haibing, chairman of Jiangsu Tianyi Airport Special Equipment Co., Ltd., Tianyi is currently the only company in China that has produced such equipment by obtaining four invention patents and software copyrights, making this system certification qualified for the national industry standards. Currently the company has produced more than 200 sets of ground support equipment with about 500 sets to be produced within this year.
In the context of increased downward pressure and shrinking demand this year, a group of small and medium-sized enterprises like Tianyi have developed a special and new product with unique competitiveness to replace the imported ones so as to expand new growth space and fuel the province’s pace of transformation and upgrading of SMEs.
Jiangsu now registers 43900 SMEs, accounting for 97.6% of the entirety of the province’s enterprises above designated size. SMEs have emerged to stabilize economic growth and create jobs.
Since the start of this year, Jiangsu has continued to launch around 100 public technological platforms for SMEs to help them fill the gap in information, technology, market and capital so that they have developed new products that cater to the market demand.
From January to June, the province’s SMEs above designated size saw their combine output value grow 8.1% year on year, 2 percentage points higher than the entire industrial growth. The proportion of their combined output value was 1.6 percentage points up in the entire enterprises above the designated size. Their profit grew 4.6% year on year, 7.6 percentage points higher than that of the entire enterprises above the designated size.
