Ministry recommends Jiangsu’s seven countryside travel routes

  The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of PRC has recently recommended 100 selected travel routes that combine agritourism with countryside charms for people who want to travel in the autumn, including seven located in Jiangsu Province.

  The two-day tour in Lishui District of Nanjing City includes picking fresh pears, grapes, dragon fruit, peaches, experiencing the unique B&Bs and local cuisines, and fish-catching in the district’s Lishan Musical Farm.

Dingzhuang grape valley in Jurong

  Among other options, the one-day trip to the Dingzhuang Grape Valley in Jurong of Zhenjiang City allows visitors to pick their grapes and taste the special tofu banquet.

  Yangcheng Lake in Xiangcheng District of Suzhou City is known for steamed hairy crabs, a seasonal delicacy. Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful landscape and learn about farming crayfish, crab and rice together in paddy fields.

  Huai'an Guzhuangniu Ecological Farm stands out by offering not only gorgeous agricultural landscapes but also a visual treat brought by 3D paintings on walls in the village.

  In Yandu District of Yancheng City, attractions range from a large variety of fine fruits to the fascinating scenery of pear gardens, and appreciation of local folk wedding customs. Visitors are welcome to savor freshwater crabs and appreciate the amazing lake view.

  So far, Jiangsu has had 20 of its tourism routes promoted by national authorities, ranking first in the country.
