The inaugural Yangtze River Delta Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference opened Tuesday in Nanjing, capital of east China’s Jiangsu province.
Yang Yue, member of the Standing Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech.
Vice Governor Chen Xingying attended the meeting.
Li Zhuobin, vice chairman of the Chinese Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, addressed the event.
Yang Yue said that Jiangsu sincerely welcomes Chinese businessmen from around the world to share new opportunities for Jiangsu's development in the new era, assisting, participating, contributing and leading Jiangsu’s efforts to construct a modern industrial system, enhance the level of scientific and technological innovation, expand openness and cooperation, and build a modern integrated transportation system.
He hoped that the participants would help promote the cooperation and establish closer ties between overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots and Jiangsu and the Yangtze River Delta region so as to carry out extensive exchanges and cooperation.
Li Zhuobin, vice chairman of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, hoped that Chinese businessmen at home and abroad will focus on the Yangtze River Delta, promote and publicize the Yangtze River Delta, and strive to make contribution to the Yangtze River Delta so as to contribute to building a world-class urban agglomeration with global competitiveness in the Yangtze River Delta.
