Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu province, has stressed efforts to study and implement the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
Wu Zhenglong, also deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, made the instruction during his publicity trip in Zhenjiang city on Monday.
Wu visited a university, a residential community, an enterprise and a village in Zhenjiang.
During his visit to the University of Jiangsu, he asked in details about the school’s recent development and the implementation of the spirit of the 4th plenary session.
The Governor also exchanged views with the university executives, teachers of ideological and political courses, student affairs counselor and students.
Wu Zhenglong said the 4th plenary session of the CPC Central Committee was of great importance and was held in a crucial phase of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, as the country marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and is striving to reach the two centenary goals.
New and major achievements in various undertakings of the Party and the state since the 3rd plenary session of the CPC Central Committee lie fundamentally in the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping as the helmsman, he said.
The success is also attributed to the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, and the scientific guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the governor said.
He urged the party organizations and party members to study and understand the General Secretary’s important speeches and the spirit of the 4th plenary session from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core.
Wu Zhenglong also visited a residential community and an enterprise in Zhenjiang to learn about the grid-based social governance system. He said the promotion of the governance system and governance capabilities rests with work at the grassroots level.
He hoped that the grassroots organizations will make full use of modern information technology to continuously improve the social governance system of co-construction, co-governance and sharing so as to better serve the people.
When visiting a fruit farming cooperative in Jurong County, he hoped that the CPC organizations at the grassroots level will deliver more technologies to the farmers so as to make joint efforts for building a comprehensively well-off society.
