East China’s Jiangsu province kicked off specialty farm produce expo Friday in Shanghai. Citizens in Shanghai will be able to have access to a feast of farm produce in the three-day expo.
320 agricultural enterprises and farming cooperatives from Jiangsu showcased more than 750 varieties of farm produce that include 15 categories such as grain and cereals, fruit and vegetables, poultry and livestock and aquatics.
Citizens in Shanghai were glued to the time-honored brands and specialty products from Jiangsu such as the Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs, the crayfish of Xuyi, the vinegar of Zhenjiang and Quinoa of Xiangcheng district, Suzhou.
Some 50 enterprises from Huai’an promoted more than 100 kinds of brand name farm produce with 175,000 tons sold out on Friday alone.
The green, organic and nutrient rice from rice-crayfish integrated farming was also a hotcake at the expo.
The offline-online interactive sales brought conveniences for the consumers in Shanghai.
