The 7th ministerial-provincial joint conference on deepening the cross-strait industrial relations for the Kunshan Pilot Zone was held in Beijing on Tuesday.
Authorities from Jiangsu Province, Suzhou City and Kunshan City gave an overall report on the progress in deepening the cross-strait industrial relations for the Kunshan Pilot Zone.
The Kunshan Pilot Zone will be further supported in platform carrier construction, industrial cooperation, trade facilitation, optimization of business environment, and expansion of the management areas, according to the conference.
Departments at all levels are required to follow the basic ideas of Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the work related to Taiwan affairs, continue to support the Kunshan Pilot Zone's policy and system innovation, and guide the Kunshan Pilot Zone to implement relevant measures to promote cross-strait economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation, according to the conference.
Jiangsu should guide the Kunshan Pilot Zone to carry out the preliminary preparations for expanding the management scope, and support the joint coordinated development of the Kunshan Pilot Zone and Jiangsu Free Trade Zone, and grant more provincial-level administrative authority and major reform issues related to Taiwan affairs to the Kunshan Pilot Zone.
The Kunshan Pilot Zone should continue to overcome difficulties, make reform and innovation efforts, and strive to improve the quality and level of cross-strait industrial cooperation in accordance with the decision-making policies of this inter-provincial joint conference.
