The standing committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee convened a meeting Thursday on the fifth anniversary of the province’s campaign for the construction of a new Jiangsu. This year marks the fifth anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s requirements for Jiangsu to build a strong, prosperous, beautiful and advanced province in an all-round way.
The research findings of the 16 major projects were reported at the meeting and the standing members gave a favorable rating to the work in this field, according to a statement released after the meeting.
The standing members remarked that they have through investigations and exchanges further deepened the understanding and grasp of the General Secretary's entrustment, stimulated the powerful motivation for future work, and clarified the ideas and measures to promote high-quality development at the forefront of the country, the statement said.
The results of the themed investigation should be incorporated into the documents of the Seventh Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial Party Committee, and implemented in the decision-making and deployment to promote the development of Jiangsu on the basis of integrating and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th Plenary Sessions of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC and the Central Economic Work Conference so as to promote the development of Jiangsu to a new level, according to the statement.
In the course of prompting the construction of a strong, prosperous, beautiful and advanced province, Jiangsu has always followed the General Secretary’s instructions by incorporating the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and the important speeches of the General Secretary, the statement said.
The efforts have been paid off as the province’s economy has become stronger, the people’s life has become better, the ecological environment has been improved and the social civilization has been upgraded, according to the statement.
These hard-won achievements have been obtained by following General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on the work of Jiangsu and the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, which has provided the fundamental follow-up and action guide for Jiangsu to score one achievement after another in its campaign for the construction of a new Jiangsu, the statement said.
Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, demanded that more efforts should be made so that the province will go all-out for the dream of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the fulfillment of the construction of a new Jiangsu.
The construction of a strong, prosperous, beautiful and advanced province is both a guide to action to build a comprehensively well-off society at a high level and a direction to start a new journey to basically realize modernization, the CPC Provincial chief said.
He stressed that it is important to promote the construction of a new Jiangsu with better practices and better results by following the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and the new decision-making policies of the CPC Central Committee and the General Secretary.
