East China’s Jiangsu province will step up its efforts to strengthen production safety and fire fighting so as to ensure the smooth progress of the resumption of work and production amid epidemic control, according to a meeting held on Thursday in Nanjing. Fan Jinlong, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and executive deputy governor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
All localities and departments should thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches and important instructions, conscientiously implement the deployment requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, make every effort to resume work and production, and enhance the epidemic prevention and control related to production so as to ensure that production safety will remain stable, said a statement released after the meeting.
The establishment of a safe development demonstration city must be regarded as an important starting point for the safe development of the cities, concentrate our efforts and systematically plan to accelerate the modernization of Jiangsu's safety production management system and governance capabilities, and lead and drive safe development with the excellent achievements of demonstration cities, according to the statement.
Greater efforts should be made to conscientiously implement the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Government, improve the responsibility system for fire prevention, and ensure the construction of a new Jiangsu with a better and stable fire safety environment, the statement said.
