NPC deputies from Jiangsu province started Tuesday to deliberate the work report of the NPC Standing Committee, the work report of the Supreme People's Court and the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
The NPC deputies from Jiangsu noted that the work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress is guided by the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and maintain the organic unity of upholding the leadership of the Party, the people being the masters of the country, and governing the country according to the rule of law.
They also remarked that the work report of the Supreme People's Court and the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate upheld the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, adhered to the party's absolute leadership over judicial work, highlighted the distinctive theme of governing the country according to law, and the people-centered development thinking, making them the highest judicial organ's inspection of their own work and an important carrier for the whole society to shape the belief of the rule of law and strengthen the foundation of the rule of law.
Zhang Yefei, Yu Ruiyu, Gao Yijin and Lu Yaping called for the publicity of typical cases so as to crack down on illegal activities that interfere with the development of private enterprises, strengthen the punishment of financial fraud, and escort the development of high-quality economy.
They also urged more measures to strengthen the construction of social integrity, crack down on mafia-related crimes and punish violations of the medical environment.
NCP deputies Fei Shaoyun, Ling Yi, Wang Fang, Liu Jinlan and Jiao Xin’an suggested the establishment of an evaluation system to ensure that the public will have a direct sense of the improvement in the quality of the work of the Supreme People's Court and the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
They also called for strengthening law popularization education and perfecting the mediation mechanism of diversified social disputes, adding that the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate should strengthen cooperation with universities to train more high-quality judicial talents.
